This past weekend Naked Plates York celebrated its 1 month anniversary. Things have been going great! The studio is seeing more and more business as word spreads in town about our new studio. Naked Plates is excited to announce the return of our fabulous Summer Pass program. Purchase a Summer Pass for only $5 and pay no studio time fees all summer long plus many other benefits! There is a limited supply of these summer passes available for purchase. Passes go on sale Wednesday March 4, 2009. Passes are valid for the months of June, July, and August 2009.

Here is a list of all the benefits for the Naked Plates Summer Pass

1. You pay NO STUDIO TIME FEES all summer long! You pay only the cost of your pottery painted plus $1 per piece for paints, glazing, and firing.

2. Bring a friend on Tuesdays and if they don't have a summer pass card, they can share in your card's studio time fee savings!

3. In addition to your studio time fee savings, save an additional 10% off your pottery painted on Thursdays all summer.

4. On Sundays all summer save even more. Naked Plates will waive the $1 charge per piece. Your glazing and firing is completely free. You pay only the cost of your pottery painted.

I was walking through a major retail chain store the other day and noticed a sign on the wall under a display that read "Everything $20 or under!" I thought to myself what a great thing to point out to customers of this store. With sky high gas prices, the holiday season on the way, and heating bills not far behind every dollar matters in today's world. People are looking for ways to save.

I want to let you know how Naked Plates can help you save this Holiday season. I went in to the studio today and counted how many projects can be done for under $20 dollars. I only counted pottery that was $16 or less and added 1 hour of painting time at $4. I was amazed to count over 100 projects that could be painted, glazed, and fired for $20 or under at regular price. I took it a step further and counted more then 55 projects that could be painted, glazed, and fired for under $15. This Holiday season when money is tight and you need a great gift and a great price keep us in mind. Everyone will love the effort you put into creating your gifts by hand. Going on 3 years!

Naked Plates will soon be turning 3 years old. I can't believe it has been that long. It seems like yesterday that I was painting walls, putting together shelving, and placing orders in a mad rush to open the doors before the holiday season. A lot has happened in our first three years of business. We grown from a staff of 1 to a staff of 5. We have expanded our party room for seating 10 to seating 24. We have doubled the amount of pottery we carry. We have created a very popular line of hand painted wedding signature guest book platters and taken this line of platters to the world wide web. Along the way we have met many great people and created friendships that go beyond the studio walls. I am excited to see what the next 3 years will bring for Naked Plates.

Thank you to all those people out there who have had a hand in creating the studio. Every person who has stepped through our doors has added to Naked Plates. Thank you for all your help. I could not have done it without you. A special thanks goes out to my new wife Jill. Without her understanding, love, and support I can truly say there would be no Naked Plates.
